Business Analyst – Capital Markets / Securities Finance

About the role

An experienced Business Analyst is sought to support technology initiatives within a Securities Finance and Capital Markets business. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering through testing, implementation and post-production support.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements with trading, operations, product and technology stakeholders
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria
• Analyze existing workflows to identify gaps, dependencies and process improvement opportunities
• Support securities finance and trading-related technology initiatives
• Work with development teams to clarify requirements and ensure solution delivery
• Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams on priorities and delivery
• Develop test scenarios and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Manage defect tracking, resolution, validation and business sign-off
• Perform data analysis and reconciliation to investigate discrepancies
• Evaluate impact of system changes across upstream and downstream applications
• Support implementation, production releases and post-deployment validation
• Communicate project updates, risks, dependencies and issues to stakeholders
