IT Asset Manager (HAM / SAM)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager to lead hardware and software asset management for an organization in Midtown Manhattan. You will own ITAM strategy, governance, and lifecycle management, maintain accurate CMDB records in ServiceNow, and drive software license compliance and cost optimization. This is a full-time hybrid role working onsite three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ITAM strategies, policies, and best practices
• Manage hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle
• Maintain accurate CMDB records, conduct audits, and ensure data integrity
• Monitor software licensing, compliance, renewals, and cost optimization
• Ensure hardware lifecycle compliance and maintain asset documentation
• Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Support compliance with NY-DFS, CIS, and relevant ITIL practices
• Interpret vendor contracts and licensing agreements
