IT Project Manager (Intermediate)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to plan, execute, monitor and control medium to large information technology projects for a state government agency in the child support domain. You will work collaboratively within the IT division and PMO to ensure quality, timely project implementations and business adoption. This is a hybrid role based in Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities

• Manage medium to large, complex IT projects
• Create and maintain project plans, schedules, agendas, minutes, risk/issue logs and lessons learned
• Manage projects according to approved governance policies and procedures
• Use the Atlassian tool suite to track milestones, tasks and deliverables against baseline and report variances
• Schedule, prepare for and facilitate project meetings
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and escalate issues in a timely manner
• Build positive working relationships with IT staff, agency staff and contracted resources
• Maintain project artifacts per the document management strategy
• Support project portfolio maintenance and governance manual updates
• Provide guidance to junior project managers as needed
