About the role

We are seeking an experienced Java Tech Lead with strong AI/Generative AI experience to support an enterprise technology initiative in Northern Virginia. You will lead the design and development of Java-based enterprise applications built on Spring Boot, microservices and REST APIs, and integrate AI/LLM capabilities into them. This is a 100% onsite role in the McLean / Herndon / Reston, VA area.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for Java/J2EE enterprise application development
Design and build Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs
Define and guide enterprise application architecture
Integrate AI, Generative AI and LLM capabilities into enterprise applications
Deploy and support applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
Drive CI/CD, Git and DevOps practices across the team
Design and optimize database and SQL solutions
Communicate with and manage expectations of business and technical stakeholders
