Senior Business Systems Analyst (Data Management / SQL)

About the role

A state government agency is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join its Data Management Program. You will work on a small, collaborative agile team, gathering reporting and data warehouse requirements, building source-to-target mappings, and writing complex SQL.

Responsibilities

Act as liaison between business and technical staff to design efficient data integration processes
Create and maintain source-to-target (S2T) mapping documentation
Develop complex SQL for analysis and data validation
Gather requirements and write user stories for reporting and data warehouse initiatives
Translate business requirements into technical specifications
Perform root cause analysis and analyze complex datasets for patterns, trends and insights
Plan and execute testing, data reconciliation and user acceptance testing
Elicit and refine requirements for dashboards
Create system requirements, design specifications and user documentation
Conduct training sessions and workshops for end users
