Senior .Net Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join our team in Washington, DC for a 4-month contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of .NET development experience, with strong expertise in backend and middle-tier services, RESTful APIs, Azure Cloud, and integration technologies. In this role, you will design and develop REST APIs and publish/subscribe messaging interfaces using .NET 8, Azure API Management (APIM), and Azure Service Bus. You will work closely with QA and other IT teams to troubleshoot issues, stabilize applications, integrate DevSecOps and security controls, and support the transition of solutions through development, testing, and production. The position requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD authentication and authorization, including Client Credentials and OBO flows, along with experience using Azure DevOps, API Gateways, Event Hubs, Azure Key Vault, and SharePoint Online. Strong communication, documentation, architecture, facilitation, and problem-solving skills are essential. The ability to create high-level technical models and provide coaching or training is also highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and Develop the Restful API Services and pub/sub message interfaces in alignment with integration requirements, defined architecture and design and infrastructure specifications. Leverage .Net 8, Azure APIM and Azure Service Bus.
• Coordinate with QA team, fix the bug and stabilize the functionality.
• Integrate the solution with DevSecOps and all the security hooks and controls.
• Work with other ITS teams for taking the project the various steps from development and production.
• Complete the documentation of modules that will be developed.
