Senior Power BI/ DAX Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Power BI / DAX Developer to lead and enhance business intelligence and analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, SQL, data modeling, and semantic layer development, along with experience working across on-premises Oracle databases and cloud data platforms. This role will focus on developing high-performance dashboards and reports, implementing data governance and security standards, optimizing analytical solutions, and providing technical leadership and mentorship to BI developers and analysts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports to deliver actionable insights.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and data teams to define KPIs, dimensions, and fact tables.
• Build semantic layers and star schemas to facilitate high-performance analysis.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data modeling, governance, security, and access control.
• Work with on-premise Oracle data sources and cloud-based data on platforms such as data bricks.
• Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to BI developers and analysts.
• Define standards for data security, including row-level security and data masking.
• Expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and DAX.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.
• 7-10 years of experience in a senior BI role.
• Ability to act as a lead or senior contributor within a team.
• Experience working with both on-premises Oracle databases and cloud data sources.
