Senior React Developer (Must be local to Chicago area)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior React Developer to join our team supporting a leading Financial Services client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience developing modern, scalable web applications using React, along with experience working with cloud platforms and front-end development tools. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week onsite in Chicago, IL, with no exceptions. Candidates must be currently local to the Chicago metropolitan area and able to work onsite as required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality, scalable front-end applications using React.js.
• Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend developers, and other stakeholders to deliver business-critical applications.
• Build reusable, maintainable, and high-performance React components and front-end solutions.
• Manage application state using Redux or other modern state management solutions.
• Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces following modern front-end development practices.
• Utilize cloud services and technologies, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure; experience with AWS is also acceptable.
• Work with front-end build and bundling tools such as Webpack, Grunt, or Gulp.js.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application performance and functionality issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards, best practices, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Ensure applications meet quality, performance, security, and scalability requirements.
• Stay current with emerging React, JavaScript, cloud, and front-end development technologies.
