Senior React Developer (Must be local to Chicago area)
About the role
We are seeking a Senior React Developer to join our team supporting a leading Financial Services client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience developing modern, scalable web applications using React, along with experience working with cloud platforms and front-end development tools.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week onsite in Chicago, IL, with no exceptions. Candidates must be currently local to the Chicago metropolitan area and able to work onsite as required.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality, scalable front-end applications using React.js.
Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend developers, and other stakeholders to deliver business-critical applications.
Build reusable, maintainable, and high-performance React components and front-end solutions.
Manage application state using Redux or other modern state management solutions.
Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces following modern front-end development practices.
Utilize cloud services and technologies, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure; experience with AWS is also acceptable.
Work with front-end build and bundling tools such as Webpack, Grunt, or Gulp.js.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application performance and functionality issues.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards, best practices, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Ensure applications meet quality, performance, security, and scalability requirements.
Stay current with emerging React, JavaScript, cloud, and front-end development technologies.
